Tips for all three Merit Badges - Read the Merit Badge Booklet
These can be checked out from your public library, Troop library, or purchased from the scout shop or scoutstuff.org
Practice the requirements - This is not a classroom clinic - come prepared knowing the information
Merit Badge Councilors with expertise in these areas will answer questions and check off your knowledge, ask them questions
Print out the forms at
http://www.usscouts.org/mb/worksheets/First-Aid.pdf
http://meritbadge.org/wiki/images/2/26/Emergency_Preparedness.pdf

use them to gather your thoughts.  If the requirement states discuss or show you will be discussing or showing - a written answer will not be accepted you will have to discuss them but you can write them down to help you if you need to.
